About Us
Omega is a product of Cerebrata software.
What is Cerebrata?
Cerebrata is a startup company based out of India primarily
focusing on software product development especially
on Web 2.0 platform using latest technologies. We are a Microsoft Partner company.
Genesis of Omega (history 101!)?
Omega started out as a product mainly to facilitate database documentation. As we
moved further ahead in development, we found many exciting features related to databases
which are not available in any COTS (Customized Off The Shelf) product (e.g. database search).
Our goal is to package these small features into Omega so that as a user you do not have to work
with many different products.
Where are we going with Omega?
At this time we are quite excited about the potential of Omega and what can be done with it.
While the current version can let you browse your database, search in there, prepare documentation
and reports, there are many things in our product pipeline that you can expect in the near future.
Some of the features specific to Omega.MSSQL that will shortly be introduced are:

More support for SQL Server 2008. As SQL Server 2008 evolves, so will Omega.MSSQL in
providing more support for SQL Server 2008. Omega.MSSQL currently supports two new features added in
SQL Server 2008: User Defined Table Types & Plan Guides. With Omega.MSSQL not only you can retrieve
information about these two things but also you can create them as well.

Designers. We have included most commonly used designers with Omega.MSSQL. However
we will continue to add more designers and improve existing designers.

Enhanced Query Builder. In the coming versions you can expect more robust and comprehensive
query builder which would allow you to save queries, parse queries etc. and more robust data viewer.
