What is Cloud Storage Studio 2? Cloud Storage Studio 2 is a windows
based client for managing Microsoft Windows Azure Storage, an important component
of Microsoft's Azure (Microsoft's Cloud Computing) platform and applications running
in Windows Azure. Cloud Storage Studio 2 is the next generation of our Cloud Storage
Studio application.
What do I need to use Cloud Storage Studio 2? In order to use Cloud
Storage Studio 2, you would need:
- A computer running Windows 7/Vista/ XP SP2 operating system.
- Microsoft .Net framework 4 (full version) installed on the computer.
What can I currently do with Cloud Storage Studio 2? Currently with
Cloud Storage Studio 2, you can do the following:
- Connect to Azure Storage (including development storage).
- Manage tables and entities.
- Manage containers and blobs. You can upload/download/copy/move/rename/delete blobs.
- Manage queues and messages.
- Query your table storage.
- Manage your container ACL.
- Generate Signed URLs for your containers & blobs.
- Download data from Azure Table Storage to your computer.
- Upload data from different sources (e.g. relational databases, XML files etc.) to
your storage account.
- Manage applications hosted in Windows Azure.
- View and manage Windows Azure Storage Analytics data.
Does Cloud Storage Studio 2 come in different versions (Editions)?
Cloud Storage Studio 2 comes in two different versions: Professional & Developer along

collection of Windows PowerShell cmdlets for managing Windows Azure Storage, Hosted
Services, SQL Azure Databases and Diagnostics. It also includes cmdlets to backup
and restore your storage accounts data.
What do I need to use Azure Management Cmdlets? In order to use
Azure Management Cmdlets, you would need:
- A computer running Windows 7/Vista/ XP SP2 operating system.
- Microsoft .Net framework 4.0 installed on the computer.
- Windows PowerShell.
- SQL Server 2008 R2 Client utilities (esp. bcp.exe version 10.50.1600.1 or higher)
for SQL Azure database backup.
What can I currently do with Azure Management Cmdlets? Currently
with Azure Management Cmdlets, you can do the following:
- Manage tables and entities.
- Manage blob containers and blobs.
- Manage queues and messages.
- Manage hosted services running in Windows Azure.
- Manage diagnostics data captured by your applications running in Windows Azure.
- Backup contents of a storage account on your computer. Supports both full and incremental
backup.
- Restore contents of a storage account from a backup created by using backup cmdlet.
- Upload files and folders from your local computer into blob storage.
- Perform some basic management tasks on SQL Azure databases.

a windows based client for managing Microsoft Windows Azure Diagnostics data which
is logged by your applications running in Windows Azure.
What do I need to use Azure Diagnostics Manager? In order to use
Azure Diagnostics Manager, you would need:
- A computer running Windows 7/Vista/ XP SP2 operating system.
- Microsoft .Net framework 3.5 SP1 installed on the computer.
What can I currently do with Azure Diagnostics Manager? Currently
with Azure Diagnostics Manager, you can do the following:
- View/download events logged by your application.
- View/download performance counters data logged by your application.
- View/download trace data logged by your application.
- View/download infrastructure data logged by your Windows Azure.
- View/download IIS Logs for your web applications running in Windows Azure.
- View/download IIS Failed Request Logs for your web applications running in Windows
Azure.
- View/download Crash dump Logs for your applications running in Windows Azure.
- Perform an On Demand Transfer of diagnostics data stored in your application VM

Licensing
How are your products licensed? Our products are licensed per user
upto 2 computers i.e. if you own two computers, you would need to purchase just
one license. If you own more than 2 computers, then you would need to purchase additional
licenses.
Can I move licenses from one computer to another? Yes, you can
move licenses from one computer to another. In order to deactivate license from
a computer, click
here. You will need your license key, and either your order number or the
email address used to place the order to deactivate license from a computer so that
you can install the same on another computer. Please note that you can deactivate
license using this self service tool only once every 30 days.
Why there is a limit of once every 30 days in using this self service tool?
We've put this limit to prevent potential misuse of this feature and we sincerely
apologize in advance if this policy has caused you any inconvenience. However we
do realize that you may have a genuine need to deactivate the license on one computer
and move to another (e.g. purchased new computer etc. etc.). In that case, please
contact support by clicking here and we'll
deactivate the licenses for you.
